Social Innovation Mentoring (SIM) is a one year program for 26 women university students that runs by www.ccl.org and www.leadbeyond.org –an initiative of CCL– in collaboration with www.iceaddis.com. SIM connects innovative and entrepreneurial young women from EiABC ( www.eiabc.edu.et ) to the tools and resources to innovate and design ideas and projects that benefit the social sector.
The 26 Social Innovation Mentors (SIMs) meet every week @iceaddis (Innovation Collaboration Entrepreneurship hub) and learn about leadership, mentoring, innovation, human centric design and more from different influential guest speakers . . . and get to test out these skills with NGOs and businesses in Ethiopia that are looking for creative, bright minds. Unlocking their potential as a leader, mentor and innovator are few of the objectives of this project.
SIMs will get to invest and mentor high school girls starting on the upcoming September 2012–passing down innovation and mentoring knowledge to the next generation.
